Bio/Abstract

Andrea Jones is the Solar System Exploration Division Public Engagement Lead at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. She and her team help share NASA planetary science research and discoveries with people worldwide. For the 2017 eclipse, Andrea worked with Earth to Sky to help inform interpreters and educators about eclipse science, safety, and related NASA resources and activities. Andrea co-led NASA eclipse support for Homestead National Monument of America, worked with the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter mission team to bring eclipse science into baseball stadiums across the country and helped prepare NASA scientists for eclipse outreach. Andrea is also on the organizing team of the Death Valley Dark Sky Festival and the Director of International Observe the Moon Night.
