Our first webinar features Lou Mayo and Carolyn Ng, of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and Jeffrey Olson of the National Park Service Communications Office in Washington. Lou gives us insights into the science of these events and explains how our Sun, Earth and Moon will create the spectacular annular eclipse on Sunday, May 20^th. He also talks about the June 5^th Transit of Venus—when we see Venus make a 6-hour journey in front of the disc of the Sun. Carolyn introduces resources NASA has to bring these engaging topics to the public while Jeff shared NPS plans for park visitors.
